Tips on making a room of your own

• Sometimes, a mirror can make a small room look bigger.
• White makes a room seem larger, whereas black makes it look smaller.
• Two secondary colors (purple, green, orange) aren't the best colors to mix, unless meant for a certain look.
• When using a pattern, make sure it isn't too big in comparison to the size of the box.
• If you have 2 colors, that are almost the same, next to each other, it can look like you made a mistake, so keep colors fairly different.
• When introducing new colors to the room, try to get them out of a patterned piece from the room so that they tie in.
